Meals at Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach are offered two times per day, seven days per week. Each meal is provided and served by different volunteer teams. Throughout the month of April, sixty meals were analyzed by the staff dietitian for nutritional value, using the following reference book and website: Bowes & Church’s Food Values of Portions Commonly Used, 18th Edition and www.calorieking.com. This analysis accounts for a first helping at each meal, milk & water to drink, and does not account for any additional nutrition which guests may obtain independently throughout the day. The meals were then averaged to determine the nutritional adequacy of the meals provided to the guests of the kitchen
