On
behalf of the staff team, board of directors, clients and guests of Matt Talbot
Kitchen & Outreach I extend my very sincere gratitude and blessings to you,
our friends and supporters. Without you we would not have accomplished such
significant achievements such as the provision of nearly 109,000 nutritious
Meals and over 8,000 separate acts of Outreach Assistance. But perhaps more
important than the statistics, is the atmosphere and the environment of respect
that is conveyed to those we encounter. I have heard on numerous occasions,
“This is the nicest soup kitchen I’ve ever seen!” And while
I appreciate the sentiment I must respond by saying, “Why shouldn't it
be?”
We are serving God’s neediest and it is an awesome responsibility and
privilege. By having a welcoming, clean, and structured environment, people
feel safe and respected. They know what to expect and what is expected of
them. They know that they are cared for. Putting all the outcomes aside and
knowing this one thing, is all the motivation we need. Thank you for supporting
